I firmly believe that God prepares and equips us for everything that He calls us to do. After getting accepted and committing to the World Race His plan of gradual preparation is so evident on my life. From middle school and high school week long mission trips to my first week long international mission trip to Nicaragua to summer long ministry opportunities in both Europe and Asia it is so evident the Lord has been preparing me for radical abandonment to the norms of society and absolute commitment to His kingdom.

When I first heard about the World Race the first thing that came into my mind was international travel and serving the Lord. A combination of both for 11 straight months? Yeah this was made for me! Then the price tag of $15,500 hit me hard and shook me for a while. However as time went on I began to realize the Lord provides in abundance to what He calls us to do. Now I am finally at a place where I need to consistently fight to remind myself the Lord will provide for me and I think that is right where I need to be.

After mentally handling the fundraising hurdle I began to see other ways the World Race appealed to me. Ministry on the World Race isn't a job or a daily task, but a lifestyle. To live with the people I serve with and the people I am serving will produce so much growth in my life. On the World Race ministry is a way of life and in preparation I have realized that there is no reason my current life can't be the same.

Finally the bottom line of why I am going is to live out the Great Commission. Jesus calls us to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19) and to "declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among ALL peoples" (1 Chronicles 16:24). He has called me to be His hands and feet for 11 months and I pray that the kingdom of God comes together to enable me to follow His great plan for my life. I urge you to partner with me in ministry to serve our great God and His great kingdom.  Financial support is a part of this trip, but please remember no gift is too small for all gifts given in faith are sufficient for His use. The last part about support is the most important part: prayer. I ask you to pray for me, my squad, and the countries we will be serving to bring the Good News and see the Lord transform lives and act in radical, unforgettable, life changing ways. In preparation for the race and while on the field I will include prayer requests in blogs so I ask you to take this journey with me by partnering with me financially and by subscribing to my blog using the subscribe for blog updates tab on the left in order to know how to specifically pray for me and the ministries I will be assisting. Financial support makes it possible, but prayer support makes it effective.
