Hello everyone,
I am writing to you from the Adventures in Missions head quarters in Gainesville, Georgia. It has been exactly 1 week at Launch and Training Camp. Our focus has been learning to hear the voice of God in everything, connecting as a team & learning about the countries we will be serving in. We have been completing lots team building exercises, eating cultural foods and learning of countries we will be serving.
Due to covid we have been quarantining together- eating, sleeping, studying & doing community together 24 hours a day. I must admit it’s been difficult for me being in close quarters w my team, relinquishing my control over to strangers and doing life with people I just met . However, the Lord is working everything together for our good and we are learning one another.
The most exciting news this week is, on Friday January 22, 2021 our team will be leaving to Medellin Columbia for 2 months and partnering with Ciudad Refugio. This ministry was birthed in the early 90s in response to addiction and homelessness. Today they serve as a rehabilitation, recovery center, homeless shelter, church, bakery, children’s ministry, feeding program, prison ministry, and so much more.
Im so thankful for everyone’s , love , support & donation. This process has truly highlighted the Lord goodness and the importance of community of love ones gathering around me and pushing me forward. I couldn’t do it without community so thank you.
