Happy New Year, I am excited to share some new things with you!!! My hiatus has officially ended. I am so thankful for all my down time. I was able to serve w Beauty for Ashes in India , then go home to spend time w my family/friends in Ohio, work on some new projects & set my intentions for 2020. I am definitely being stretched in every area of my life and excited to see everything come to pass. Monday, I returned to one of my favorite rural clinics, that I had previously contacted with. I will be there helping out for a month, until their new pediatrician comes on.
Fundraising continues & it is going amazing!!! I am still so shocked at how much love support and generous everyone has been. Its truly has been fast, effortless process that’s being orchestrated by God. I am already 26% funded and it’s only been 2 month of fundraising! Thank you to everyone that has prayed, encouraged ,shared, supported & donated! I can’t do any of this with out you. It’s still not too late to participate if you would like. Please click the link to donate online and follow on FB/ IG @msholmes937. If you would like an alternative option like check or cash please direct message me.
The third exciting thing is Adventures in Missions (AIM) has officially published the details on my Unscripted Route! Drum Roll please !?!?!?! I will be leaving 1/7/2021 to 12/5/2021 & going to:
Malaysia
Malaysia is a melting pot of Indians, Chinese, Malays, and indigenous communities. A Buddhist temple can be located next to an Islamic mosque that could be neighboring a Christian church. Building relationships with members of these diverse communities while discovering a lifestyle of following Jesus will become the norm for your squad.
Thailand
This famously friendly nation is nicknamed the “Land of Smiles”, yet Thailand’s glimmering cities and sandy beaches are marred by sex trafficking and sex tourism. Whether God leads you to prayer-walk through the red-light district, engage with tourists, or play with kids living on the street, you will have the opportunity to reveal the Kingdom to a deeply unreached country.
Myanmar
Once closed off from the rest of the outside world and under severe military dictatorship, the doors to this enigmatic country have been thrown wide open. Change is everywhere as Myanmar races to adapt to the 21st Century and opportunities abound. Discover a small but growing local church and join in their endeavor to evangelize and disciple the deeply Buddhist, Burmese majority.
India
Drink in the vibrancy of the colors, spices, and sounds of India, and join the powerful church planting movement across the country. India is quickly becoming the most populous country in the world, yet so few people here personally know the hope of Jesus. Step into another world as you reveal the love of God to these beautiful people.
Nepal
Many around the world flock to Nepal seeking adventure and enlightenment, yet few have discovered the truth of the Gospel. This month, venturing into the Himalayan mountains with the express purpose of bringing the light of Jesus is a real possibility. Nepal reveals the breathtaking beauty of God’s creation, and here you will discover that His love can reach even the most remote places.
Bulgaria
As you make your way west into Europe, you will notice hillsides populated with nomadic communities of Romani people. Witness the Gospel bursting forth with new life and freedom in a land deeply rooted in religion and tradition. You’ll discover a newfound ownership of your faith and a growing ability to share it during your time in Bulgaria.
Ukraine
At the edge of the former Soviet Union, Ukraine is a country caught between the East and the West. As this nation forges on to solidify an identity all its own, you’ll boldly walk out your own identity as a child of God. Join the efforts of local believers seeking to bring the Good News of the Gospel to a country that spent decades under Communist control.
Spain
Work your way to the edge of Europe, taking some intentional time to reflect on all the Lord has brought you through so far. Here you’ll spend time on the Camino de Santiago, a 500 mile pilgrimage across spain to the Cathedral de Santiago. Hiking alongside other pilgrims in search of spiritual truth, you will build relationships and boldly proclaim the hope of the Gospel.
Argentina
Follow the well-worn trail of Spanish heritage westward across the Atlantic Ocean to Argentina. A warm and social people, Argentineans will spend hours talking over cups of mate, or dancing late into the night. Advance the knowledge of the Gospel through relational evangelism and discipleship, as you walk out your identity as citizens of the Kingdom of God.
Uruguay
A small but up-and-coming nation sandwiched between Brazil and Argentina, Uruguay shares the European roots and culture of its neighbors. While Christianity has seen explosive growth here in the past decades, you can help deepen the knowledge of the Gospel in a country where the indigenous religions still have a stronghold.
Chile
Chile, the home of Patagonia and known as the “land of fire and ice”, is also home to a growing missionary mobilization movement. Here at the southern tip of the world, Latin American believers are being sent out to the unreached nations of Asia and Africa. Join the growing Gospel movement and activate the local church as you prepare to take everything you’ve seen God do back home with you
