Oh Nicaragua.

You surprised me, with your beauty and your people and all your bugs and the heat. I will take with me some favorite memories from the race thus far…

Riding in the back of a horse and cart from Diriamba to Jinotepe with 4 other girls and Martin, our driver.

Erin's birthday party, complete with a pinata and eggs in her hair.

Riding a horse on the beach for ten cordobas.

Digging up deeply rooted weeds in the garden while the Father dug up deeply rooted bitterness and lies in my soul.

Coming to a new understanding of the Father's heartbeat for His people.

Walking the barrios and praying for everyone we came in contact with.

Making bread with Marina.

Eating dinner at the Cedona House.

Playing Mafia with the Nicaraguans, I still wonder how they were the Mafia every single time.

Living in one bedroom with 13 other girls…community at it's best.

Fighting, really fighting for my teammates.

Sitting on the bench in the garden before the Father and chains falling off as I prayed.

Cheering for the soccer teams, Nueva Vida for life!

Relationships…this month was all about relationship. Relationships within our team, relationships with our ministry contacts and relationships within the community we were living in. I cherish each one.

Us with our Nicaraguan brothers!
