Who am I?

Well I'll start out with telling you about my family, because they made me who I am.

Because everything is better with pictures, here are those beautiful people.

(Sabrina, Linden+Lila, Mom, Cecily, Meredith, Me, Dad, Aunt Mel, Grandma)

I am the oldest of 5 girls. Yes, 5. It's sort of awesome. I love my family A LOT, it's going to be super hard to be so far away without any reliable form of communication, I am not going to lie.

I was raised by two incredible people who always have encouraged me to do what was on my heart, and supported all of my biggest dreams and greatest adventures and I am forever grateful for that. My mom is the strongest woman I know, and I look up to her so much. I don't know if I will ever have the strength and grace that she displays every day, but I pray I have a tenth of it one day. My dad is someone I have always looked up too, he taught me how to work my butt off and showed me that even though life isn't always fair, and we don't always understand, we always trust that God is going to come through, and He does.

Meredith, Linden, Sabrina and Cecily are my little sisters, and they are all funny, beautiful, kind and loving. I always joke that I was the 'starter' and God figured out what did not work with me, so He made them all way more incredible. Of course I am awesome in my own right. They are just more awesome. Also they are taller.

Linden has the most beautiful baby in the world, Lila Eve. Her husband Matt is the brother we never had. All the rest of us are decidedly unmarried.

Look at that face.
LOOK AT THAT FACE. CUTEST BABY EVER. YOU ROCK THOSE GLASSES SISTER.

So, that's my family in a nutshell. On to me.

I don't like to write these things. It sort of feels like a match.com thing, so I'll stick to the basics: I love to travel, and I love Jesus, so the World Race is sort of perfect. As much as I love travel, I have always lived in the same city (Charlotte, NC) so I am really excited to get to live abroad for a year. I am part of a great church here in Charlotte, Elevation Church, and I am so thankful that God put me there. I am honored to be able to travel the world and not only tell people about Him, but to continually learn more about Him. I am always blown away by His grace. That He would choose me is crazy. Just crazy. I am thankful for a Savior that uses the broken and redeems us to better than before. I am constantly being redeemed. I have a kind of sarcastic sense of humor and I am probably not serious 95% of the time. If I sound ridiculous, it is because I am. ummm, what else? I love people and am both excited and dreading living in community, because as much as I love people, sometimes I just love to be by myself. I think that is as much as you can find out about me by reading a blog post, so I'll probably leave it at that.
