So I still don’t think I’ve fully wrapped my brain around the fact that I’m actually doing this thing. I keep thinking everything will just go back to normal, and I’ll go back to dorm prepping and signing up for classes, but no.

No, I’m not going back to school next semester. . .

No, it’s not a trip, it’s a move. . .

No, my younger siblings won’t be the same height when I get back. . .

No, I really won’t be here for Christmas. . .

Yes, the Lord told me to scrap my plans for next semester, pack my bags, and move to the other side of the world. So I said yes, and now the process begins. For the next six months I will be doing everything in my power to raise the $16,000 that it costs to take this step, and no, I will never be able to do it, but the Lord can and will.

On September 1st 2020, I will board a plane, and fly to eSwatini (former Swaziland) for my first stop. For the next three months, I will live among the people there and spread the love of Jesus. The three months after that has me in Ethiopia. There my team and I will continue to do everything in our power to spread the word and love of Jesus and minister and live with those around us. The last three months of this journey takes place in Cambodia. The mission will continue here as we minister to street children and others that we encounter during this time. I’ll give more details on what exactly we’ll be doing in each location in later posts, just figured I’d do a quick overview for now!

I absolutely cannot wait to see what the Lord does to me and through me during those 9 months. There will be beautiful moments, and hard times, but I know in the end that I will come back a stronger follower of Christ and ready for whatever the Lord has for me next.

I love you all, and I appreciate you keeping up with my journey and reading this.

You’ll hear from me soon!
