Hey fam!
Wow it’s been a while, so I’m just gonna give an update with where I’m at. Right now I’m sitting in my basement back at my house in good ole Duncan SC. How crazy is THAT. The Lord works in mysterious ways. . . So basically we got to come home for thanksgiving break and then ended up finding out that we have to stay home until we launch in January because of Covid, which was unexpected, but it does make sense. At first it was kind of hard to wrap my brain around because it was such a big change, but since then the Lord has been teaching me to REJOICE, and man, what a blessing it’s been. Being able to be back in SC with my family and friends has been so good. It has for sure brought up it’s own challenges, but the Lord has used every single one of them to reveal more of His sovereign plan of growth and refinement.
Ok so backing up a little bit, in case any of you haven’t heard this piece of news from me or seen it on social media, our launch date is January 5th, and our first location is Costa Rica! I know… Quite the change from Swaziland, but that’s what’s open at the moment, so that’s where the Lord wants us to be. I’m SO excited about this opportunity. We’ve been told we will be doing a pretty large variety of different types of ministry while we’re there. Anything ranging from inner city evangelism to skateboard ministry. The one thing I know for SURE, is that the Lord has it all under control, and it’s going to glorify Him above all else in the end.
Another update for you guys, I’m officially an intern for the World Race!! The Lord put it on my heart to apply for a media internship program while I was on campus, and I just received word a week or two ago that I got accepted into the videographer position! So basically what that means for me is that I’ll be making about 4 videos a month while I’m on the field updating you guys on everything going on and sending footage back to Adventures in Missions for them to use in their videos. I’m SO excited about this, and I feel honored to be given the opportunity to minister with something I’m so passionate about. The Lord told me before I even joined the race that videography was something He was going to use, and seeing it all play out in front of my eyes has been so encouraging. Praise the Lord for His work. So because of this internship position, I’m actually going to be opening up a new opportunity to support me and the ministry. To keep you all updated with my plan, my prayer is for the Lord to bring me several monthly donors or donations specifically meant for my media internship. I’m hoping to raise enough funds monthly to pay for my adobe subscription and suitable equipment to carry out the opportunity that the Lord has given me.
