Well, this month started out in Kathmandu we transitioned from India by plane and landed with the beautiful mountains in view! I am so sorry it has taken me this long to give you guys an update internet is extremely hard to find. When we landed in Nepal one of ministry hosts was waiting on us with a sign that read Wes Price (World Race Team)! We retrieved our luggage that made it to Nepal and headed about 6 or 7 kilometers away from the airport to Kathmandu. Kathmandu translates to the city of a thousand idols. We had a day to rest and recover from the 15 minutes of time difference in India haha. We then headed to the village of Ghorka after learning a little Nepali language and had been given nepali names for people to understand. Ghorka is a traditional warrior village. It is absolutely beautiful and deep in the mountains of Nepal. But before we left we had a little bit of a theft problem. The night before we left we were robbed…during the night while we were sleeping someone came into our church and stole all the miscellaneous electronic devices that we had fallen asleep on due to lack of inconsistent internet. We lost mac book computers, an iPhone 5, a iPod touch, back packs cameras and they stole all the money I had just taken out from the atm for the month. We lost thousands and thousands of dollars worth of worldly possessions. God stripped us of the things we communicate back home with….the things we thought were so important. It's crazy how things really begin to come into perspective when your separated from them. The team including myself have come to realize it's just stuff. I feel often times in the U.S. it was hard to realize what I really didnt need and to know that all this stuff wasnt coming to heaven with me. I am now living out of a back pack and it feels so much less overwhelming! I want to encourage you to step back and maybe consider the worldly things you might be holding on to in life. They probably arent as important as you think they are. It feels so good to be released from the burdens of worrying about where stuff is and what condition it is in or even trying to figure out how to obtain even more stuff! I am just getting started in Nepal and God is already teaching me so much! So back to ministry it looks a lot like last month we are evangelizing in villages and reaching out to unreached people groups of Nepal. We are showering in waterfalls and hiking up mountains to find the people who have never heard of a God who died for them and loves them! We leave for another village in a couple of days where we will preach and experience more of what God has to offer! Well…… Now we are back from that village I tried to post this blog before we left but was unsuccessful in uploading it. The village of Pyutar was full of surprises and evangelism! God used my team in many ways for His kingom.God game me the opportunity after preaching, teaching, and praying for a Hindu lady to remove the red dot on her forehead. But what's even crazier is that He gave me a vision of it happening as soon as I walked up and by the time God did what he had already planned to do He told me to remove it and I listened! I am learning more and more everyday how important it is to just listen to God! Now, being back in the city I had a 2 hour meeting today with the head pastor about what our free times will look like in Nepal before debrief and although we may not make it to Mt. Everest. I believe toward the end of the month my team and I will have the chance to ride on elephants through the jungles of Nepal, or even visit a monkey temple. Lord willing we will get there! Please continue to partner with my team and I in fully understanding what God has in store for us. I know being back in the city where we sometimes have wifi and can spend money on meals that dont consist of rice and curry is going to be hard for those who were robbed. So, if you feel like God is maybe calling you to help support us please check out my team and their blogs. I thank you so much and hope the stories of what God is doing in my life are encouraging to you. Thank you for reading and God bless you!
