wow so much so quick! this thing i have been talking about for so long is now becoming a reality! im so excited and ready for what God has in store. im starting to see why blogging is going to be so important, its going to be so hard to keep up with everything and writing it down should keep me in tune. Some things i need to catch people up on since i never actually did a training camp blog post. training camp for me was amazing. it was an excellent prep for what im about to experience. i have worked and been apart of unsuccessful teams in the past and this team is going to be so different! throughout training camp we were put through a series of situations and sinaros (dont know if i spelled that right, also ignore the gramatical errors as well this is just going to be me writing raw and unformal.) that tested everyone mentally and physically. training was a simulation of what the world race is supposed to be like. we ate all sorts of food like fish head soup and often times went without gear. it was challenging in a great way. while at training camp i was chosen to be a team leader. i am leading the greatest team ever! Team Pharos! pharos is latin for lighthouse my team and i hope to be a light in the darkest places around the world. my group is going to be like no other. i can already see Christ in each of them! leading up to launch has not been the easiest journey for this team though. we have all gone through a series of attacks so i want to ask you to please pray over our team as a whole and individually. as a leader i want my team to know im not perfect and i dont have it all figured out they already know that from our first assignment. im not gonna pretend like i do either, im on this journey with them. all im here to do is point us in the direction the holy spirit is pointing me. i cant wait to serve all over the world with my team and get to know them so much better. God has so much in store for us and I cant wait to discover it!
