This is the group of young ladies I will be blessed to journey with over the course of 11 months, starting in October. We were described as being gentle, like a river but also bold, like when the waters crash into a rock. Hence our name of “Agua Viva”, meaning living water. We’re hoping to translate it into all the different languages we’ll encounter, first of which will be Spanish (starting off in Chile ????). Just as we endured the craziness of training camp I cannot wait to see what lies ahead in our journey!

Check out my teammate Grace’s blog and her description about each of us at:

Here’s a short description of Grace:

She hails from the GREAT pacific northwest (fellow native here) specifically Portland, Oregon. She’s currently a student working towards an associate’s degree in biology, hoping to transfer to a university and then go onto medical school to become a pediatrician. Grace is quiet– but her stillness and mindfulness of others shows how her actions speaks volumes about her. She also has quite the appetite– both for food and for others. On our adventure day, we had crickets for breakfast and she touched it and ate it like it was just like any other food, while I squirmed and screamed. The least to say I am all the more excited to get to know her and journey with her!
