I had an amazing 25th birthday this year!!! My team mates went above & beyond to make the day special for me!! It started off with my favourite breakfast in the world EGGS BENEDICT!!!! & a double double- all set out ready for me to eat!! (They even called it "double double" just for me, even though in the States they don't refer to it as that!) They also had heart shaped & maple leaf shaped pancakes sitting out for me!! It was basically Canada Day/My Birthday (I'm one of 2 Canadians on our squad of 43)! They even went as far as singing the Canadian anthem to me (they had the words all written out & they made a maple leaf out of little cut out hearts!! It was very thoughtful, I loved the Canadian touch!
After breakfast I was lead to a chair & Jessica & Kat proceeded to do my hair & makeup for me! It was so sweet!
& then……. they had a birthday gift scavenger hunt all set up for me to do! It was such fun, they even had friends from back home send video clips in saying happy birthday to me! IT MADE ME CRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was not expecting that!!! The scavenger hunt was so fun, & it lead to wonderful gifts hiding in the oven!!
A truck from the Netherlands was coming to drop off a load full of presents for me!!!! Okay maybe not, it was a load full of clothing & things for people in the villages in Draganesti-Olt & surrounding, & we got to be a part of helping to unload the truck.
We spent the evening at a "worship concert" Hope Church held, a worship band & speaker from a church in Texas came to Draganesti-Olt.
For dinner I was spoiled again! Greek salad, mashed potatoes with cooked mushrooms & chicken!! & delicious birthday cake, chocolate with coffee flavoured filling & vanilla icing!! We ended the night in a dance party!
I had a great & memorable 25th birthday!!! I felt so blessed & loved!!!
Thank You Jesus for blessing me with another year of life!!!
This lovely watch was a gift! I forgot to bring one on the race & am always wondernig what time it is, it's especially confusing with all the time differences! I really appreciated this!!
