I know this blog is late, sorry about that, I have not had access to internet! So here's incase you were wondering how my Christmas & New Years went & what we did in Mozambique!
Christmas was fun in Mozambique! We spent Christmas Eve at the church from 9:00pm until 4:30am praying, singing, dancing & celebrating! I am not going to lie, it was challenging to stay awake, but all the moving & dancing really helped with that! Then we went to our ministry contacts’ famiy’s house & enjoyed a bbq with chicken, salads, fries, lots of coke cola & desserts! We also listened to loud music & danced a lot! & we spent some time in thanksgiving & prayer! It was laid back, relaxing, & enjoyable! I loved how the focus was on enjoying each others company & having fun! Simplicity, I love that!
New Years was also a big party, we went to the church to pray at 9:00pm for about 30 minutes, then we came back to the house, had communion & personal time of prayer, then we went outside to watch the fireworks that locals were setting off, they were coming from every direction so we were surrounded by fire works; it was nice! Then we played the loud dance music & had a dance party late into the night! New Years day we once again played loud dance music, ate chicken, fries & drank soda! Then we ended our night by setting up the projector screen outside, sat on comfy blankets & watched Mrs. Doubt Fire!
I really had a great time on both of these holidays! They were stress free, enjoyable & God was at the center! The whole time it didn't feel like Christmas or New Years at all! I am excited to see what God has in store for 2012 & between now & when I come home!
I have to be fully funded by March 1st, or else I will be sent home. I have $2, 759 more to raise to reach the fully funded goal! If your able to help me reach this goal & stay on the field all the way till July, Thank you so much! Any amount is appreciated! Trusting that God will provide according to His will! Please continue to pray for my team & I as we head to Romania in a week from now!
