June 2015

St. Gregors Christian Mission Center

our ministry this month consisted of hosting camps for the local children, visiting social homes where the elderly met, prayer walks, and one 2 day camp in a neighboring city where we partnered with a missions group from Norway

We took turns cooking all our meals this month, and enjoyed exploring the small town we were living in!

one of the girls from the day camp we helped with – Linda! She was so friendly and inquisitive. We enjoyed getting to know her so much!

sweet Louise!

one of the challenges the kids had to complete was picking someone up using only one finger each! They succeeded!

the cute little town of Saldus

after the week of camp, anytime we walked into town we would meet kids on the way who would always run up to say “hi!”

we got to tour the Lutheran church in downtown Saldus, and the guide took us into the bell-tower  🙂

we celebrated our anniversary on the 23rd, so we went to our first fancy dinner of the race! On the way we ran into Linda! She walked the rest of the way with us talking 🙂

June 23rd – 3 year anniversary!

we ended the month by hosting a 2 day camp for kids in a neighboring city in Latvia. There was a mission team from Norway that came to help us! We cooked a giant pot of soup over the fire, played games, shared testimonies, and worshiped by the bonfire.
