We are officially halfway finished with the World Race! It seems like yesterday we were on a plane leaving the USA, and now here we are, finishing month 6, headed into the final half! Here is a photo summary of  our ministry thus far, of course there is so much more than you can see in pictures, and so many times we don’t photograph ministry just to be sensitive, but these are some of our favorite ministry moments from each country!

January: Churachandpur, India
In India we worked in so many different areas! Construction on the hospital, VBS, construction on a new church, hosting medical clinics for World Vision sponsored children, handing out school supplies for World Vision, and more!

March: Cape Town, South Africa
For the month of March we were partnered with a home ministry “Project Jeremiah” which holds children programs from their home each afternoon for the neighborhood kids. They also feed the neighborhood once a week, and as the local groceries give them close-dated food, they give it to the neighborhood as they have need. They also feed in the squatter camps once a month and we got to take part in that!

This is Chloe, my shadow for the month! We were so blessed with the ministry here, and the opportunity to love on kids in the outskirts of Cape Town, to read more about our time there read this blog.

April: Swaziland
This was the World Race “manistry” month, so we spent the month at different ministry locations, meeting in the middle for a few days together. Wayne worked mostly doing manual labor on a self sustaining farm, but also got to spend some time with the kids at the orphanage there!
Codie spent the month at an orphanage on top of a mountain, partnered up with 2 little boys to spend time with, tutor, and show Jesus to. She also taught at the local primary school in the mornings.

This is Chief, he quickly stole my heart and we became inseparable. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss him. To find out more about my month with him, read this blog. *photo: Alyssa Trainor

May: Maputo, Mozambique
Last month we spent at a ministry for local teenage boys. Beacon of Hope takes in boys who haven’t had the opportunity to go to school, and educates them as well as teaches them basic life skills. We helped teach classes, clear property, plant a garden, build soccer goals, start a local soccer ministry with the village boys, and held a VBS for the village kids.
