so it hit me this morning that we leave the country in 14 weeks – that in and of itself is enough to make me realize how BIG this is, and then there are all the things that those 14 weeks bring along with them!
We have training camp in 2 weeks
We have a minimum of $5,000 left to raise (in 12 weeks)
We have LOTS of supplies left we are in need of, things like a pump for our sleeping pads, packing cubes, day-packs, airporter covers for our backpacks, dry sacks for our electronics, etc.
We have a list of vaccinations we need (5 for Wayne, 3 for me)
We have an apartment to pack up and move out of.
& we still have life and ministry to invest in while we are here.
Sometimes I am so focused on the preparation I put things that are vital and happening now on the back burner. Like the amazing kids I get to invest in for the next 14 weeks through AWANA – I want to give them my all.
I have friends here who I want to see, and spend every second with, to soak up their wisdom and laughter to carry me through the next year without them.
I have the best family, family I don’t see as often as I should considering how much time is left.
I have a marriage to invest and pour into, to prepare for the year ahead.
I am so thrilled that this adventure is coming up so soon, there isn’t a day that goes by that Wayne & I don’t talk about how excited we are, how much we are curious about, and how much we know this is going to change our lives forever.
PRAY for us more than anything – pray for the Lord to continue to lead and guide us, and to keep His hand upon us.
If you want to give money, consider becoming a monthly donor to carry us all the way through the trip.
If you would rather give in other ways, consider giving supplies, they will make all the difference in the world in the year to come.
“And The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”‘ So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.” Numbers 6:22-27
