a lot of you might be wondering about the financial breakdown of the race, so here is a detailed post letting you know what all the money is used for, when we have to have all the money, and also a simple way for you to come alongside us in this journey.
We ask that you earnestly pray about partnering with us on a monthly basis in two ways:
September means that we officially have 10 months left to raise $26,400 (our remaining balance). Since the world race is big on #11in11 we decided to do a fundraiser centered around that. We are asking you to consider giving $11 on the 11th of each month, for the next 11 months.
Another way you can give monthly is by offering a pledge amount. We have envelopes numbered $1-$144. If we fill all these envelopes with their designated dollar amount it will come to a little over $10K! How you can help is by taking an envelope, and pledging to fill it by December 1st. You can put $1 a day, or $1 a week, or any amount as often as you can – this is designed to work for YOU and your budget and life – if you don’t see us on a regular basis you can email the amount you would like to pledge ([email protected]), and we will look to hear from you again on December 1st! I will keep an updated chart posted with boxes marked out for the amounts that have been pledged so you can see our progress and come alongside us in prayer.
Here is breakdown of costs for the race, and also our financial deadlines that we are required to meet to continue on the race

Due April 1st, 2015 ~ $22,000 (end of 3 months on the field)
Due July 1st, 2015 ~ $32,600 (end of 6 months on the field)

- WR Development Program–$3,720 (Improvements and Developments)
- Administration Fees–$5,270 – (Processing, paying the staff who literally sets up all of our travel, meals, missions, etc.)

Our personal goal is to raise $36,000 – and we would like to have it before launch! – because none of these numbers include the supplies (approximately $2,000 worth) we will need while on the race, i.e.: our sleeping bags, tents, backpacks, etc which we will be living out of. These numbers also do not include our vaccinations (approximately $1,500) which we are required to have before traveling overseas. These numbers seem overwhelming, and they are, but every small amount helps! Don’t underestimate what God can do with what you give. We have seen so much faithfulness already, and are excited to see God provide the rest.
