Philippians 4:4-7

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

 //Uncertainty – Certainty//

So today I realized there are 31 WEEKS until I leave on World Race Fusion. Wow. And the past six weeks have been a whirlwind of tragedies and miracles. From physical death to spiritual life, financial needs to unbelievable generosity, goodbyes to reunions; I have learned the uncertainty of life is made certain with Christ. The fear of fundraising, catching malaria, loneliness and losing my luggage are uncertain thoughts of World Race but “in everything by prayer…let your requests be made known to God.” I am sure of one thing the Lord my God is real, alive and faithful to His children; to me. How can I time and time again doubt in the Lord’s faithfulness and be shocked by His provision. I am unworthy to be given His abounding favor. He is not only sustaining but gives fullness to life. “…the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding…”

Three times this semester the day before a payment due for school in three seemingly unconventional ways money was provided. Thank you. When my grandma died, people, prayer, cards, food, gifts abounded for my family. Thank you. When everything hit at once and you prayed. The Lord was faithful. Thank you. I am blown away by the family I have that is not biological. The Lord has taken care of me at Olivet and home. I am believing He will take care of me on World Race.

Since being home I am working on finding a summer job and taking care of all the things. My doctor is a Christian! Who knew?! She is helping me with shots and medication; plus is praying for the team. Friends and family have been giving advice and money to purchase gear. And a big THANK YOU to all who have committed to pray for me and/or donated! We are family! And I am thanking the Lord for you today. Because He has shown Himself faithful to me through you.
