//Faith & Fundraising//

“Walking by faith isn’t our ideal of fun. We want the discomfort and risk removed. Before we make a move we want God to make the situation crystal clear. Do you see the problem? Our mindset is God, tell me who, how, tell me when and then I will trust you. What God wants us to see is that if He did this, our faith/trust wouldn’t be real. We want a definitive answer so we won’t feel vulnerable, weak, and dependent on Him. But guess what? We are vulnerable and dependent on Him. And it’s only when we realize our true condition that God can demonstrate His strength and love on our behalf (Joshua Harris.)”

As you all know I am just getting started with fundraising for World Race but have already had amazing feedback and conversations with many of you. It is incredible to have the chance to constantly testify to the Lord’s faithfulness because of this opportunity. Thank you Gretchen for being my first financial supporter and praying with me over spring break!
Lately I have been sharing about the journey of applying/deciding on World Race and fielding similar questions about fundraising. I am so thankful for the Lord’s faithfulness and the way He brings people together. At Olivet there is another girl who is preparing to go on World Race. She is leaving this fall. And she is letting me share some graphs/info with you all. Thank you Teagan! Hopefully this is helpful and answers some of your questions.

//General Breakdown//
• 2% ($340) Training Camp, Teambuilding, orientation, and cultural/safety training will take place at the start of the year. I will attend this camp in January while in our first country (Guatemala) and is full of spiritual, mental, and physical preparation! This is different than other routs because Fusion Racers are from all over the world. That is why our training camp is in our first country instead of the USA.
• 4% ($678) Field Support, Getting supplies, supporting local contacts, etc. All the ministries we partner with receive financial compensation and support as a part of our partnership.
• 12% ($2,035) WR Development Program, Improvements and developments for the current and future World Race Routes.
• 17% ($2,883) Administration Fees, Processing, paying the staff who literally take care of every detail of our travel, food, lodging, etc. months in advance and during our race as well.
• 65% ($11,024) World Racer Budget, See below for further breakdown!
• $861 Health Insurance

//65% “World Racer” Budget Breaks Down//
• 45% ($7,632) Intercontinental travel (from continent to continent)
• 13% ($2,204) Food, that doesn’t seem bad to me considering how much I spend in a year on food in the U.S.A.
• 19% ($3,222) Lodging, throughout the year we will stay in hostels, host homes, organizational campuses or hotels in debriefing weeks.
• 11% ($3,410) Transportation, in country travel (Tuk Tuks in Thailand) from the organization to the airport, travel from home to mission, or other mission oriented errands.
• 12% ($3,720) Miscellaneous, this includes but is not limited to supplies for ministries we partner with and unexpected costs.

//How You Can Help//
I already have had several phone call and in person conversations about World Race and all the transitions in the near future. This is incredibly encouraging because it not only affirms that there are people who care but also a family who believes in me and intercedes on my behalf. Thank you!
Another way to support me on this journey is through financial donations. Monthly donations are possible and if you’d like more information, I would love to share with you how to become a monthly supporter. You can always support me financially by clicking on the tab that says “Support Me” tab at the top of this page!

//Summary//
• Donations can be given by clicking on the “Support Me” tab at the top of this page. It is tax-deductible and 100% of the donation is put into my account unlike other fundraising sites.
• Monthly giving can be done by using a secure system called Dynapay. It transfers the bank draft automatically each month for you and is provided by Adventures in Missions. (click on link) This is similar to supporting a child or missionary family with other organizations.
• Checks can be mailed to: write out to Adventures in Missions and put “WANZIEBURDEN” in the memo line
