//Week #2//

    Meet the Irelands!

Our dear friend John that we met in Rwandan connected us to a missionary family from California in northern Ethiopia. We traveled to Bihar Dar in a ten hour bus ride to do life with this incredible family.

Jermey – Works for The Great Commission (Campus Crusade) bringing the gospel to university students and raising up the next generation of Ethiopian church leaders. Visiting Bible studies and testifying to the work of the Lord in our lives are some ways are team partnered with Jermey.

Andrea – Besides being a mother of many, she works with women who have been sex trafficked or are stuck in prostitution. We would meet at coffee shops and pray for her conversations with these beautiful women and joined their weekly Bible study going through The Purpose Driven Life. After one Bible study we gave all the women feet massages and pedicures.

The Kids – I loved getting to know Lalain and Berke specifically talking about our dreams or preparing meals for a small army were some of the daily highlights with these two.

This family provided space for our team to grow closer together and be a part of a family. I learned a lot about myself, my team and missionary life while staying with the Irelands.

Thankful that the Lord’s mercies are new each day and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom!
