What are you expecting to find here? When you licked this link to read my blog what were you looking for? An interesting post, or some crazy pictures? Maybe some stories of how God healed 1,000 people or saved an entire nation. Or maybe you just wanted a cool story of what the world is like. Well buckle up because I don’t have anything like that to write about.
About 2 weeks in to my race I had this amazing revelation from the Lord. That life on the race is just that, its life. And yes I am so blessed to be able to experience the world with some of the most amazing people, but that in itself does not change who I am. I had this idea in my head that when I left I would see all these c any miracles every day and be a completely new person. But reality check that’s not how life works. You want growth? You gotta work for it. You want to see God move? You gotta go after Him and seek Him with envy thing you got.
Lie doesn’t just pause because I’m not at “home”. Now I don’t want you to think that I haven’t seen some amazing things or moved forward in my life, or that I’m no enjoying this year. That would be a lie. It’s just not at all what I expected. It’s still hard to do what I know I should like it was in the states. I know it sounds cliche but it don’t matter how far you run you can’t run from yourself.
Through all that the biggest thing God has been teaching me is to get rid of all my expectations. When I expect life to look one way and what I see is different that usually ends in disappointment. What ever the outcome you not fully invested in the moment. And I know I am called to be 100% present everywhere I am. So that’s what’s on my heart this morning. I hope all y’all reading this have been encouraged through what Gods doing in me.
Also I am now in Chiangmai Thailand, the land of smiles. It’s super cool here and I love it.
