I can let the word speak for itself rather than look up quotes about Thanksgiving. But America has this thing about being thankful around this time of the year. But God seems to say we should always be thankful. To think on the good things and give praise. So I will let you know a secret. Remember what you are thankful for and giving praise to God for those things then joy fills you. I don’t have to look farther than my people to know this is true. So maybe I should be thankful all throughout the year rather than the 4th Thursday in November. So I will list off 16 things I am thankful for…. I probably should say people not things!! HAHA
1. Tim and Cyndi Bird. The wisest coaches I know! They have helped me walk into so much freedom this year. Not only that but walk deeper in my Relationship with Jesus and Father God. They constantly push me to go to God. So thankful for these people and I love their family so much.
2. Daniel Williams. Thankful to have Daniel as my squad mentor. Thankful to have a trustworthy man to be the one to help me walk this crazy journey
3. Emily Jensen: Thankful to have had the short time on the race with you and to have met you. And know that God has big things in store.
4. Akelea: Thankful for that time in Peru that I sort of got lost. Or at least my Team Leader Alex and team lost me haha. And you showed up and helped me find my way back to the hostel. It was a good conversation starter that day.
5. Rodolfo: Thankful for my brother who was on my first team. Thankful for seeing what brotherhood looks like and that I can be friends with men.
6. Joshua: So thankful for this man and friend. Thank you for all the spiritual support you give me and not letting me to stay where I was. But to continually push me to new levels and see my potential in God. Love doing life and ministry together.
7. Jackie: You’re alright… Haha Jackie so thankful for you. You are a good friend and thank you for always listening.
8. Christazia: Thankful for this wise and compassionate sister. Thankful to get to spend so much time and experience traveling the world with you. Thank you for all the words and advice to push me closer to Jesus.
9. Haley So thankful to be doing life with you in the last portion of this race. Thankful to be able to get to know you and support you in your next steps. And experience your joyful spirit.
10. Jesse: Thankful to have at least one man left on the squad. It has been awesome to witness your growth and pursuit of God. Your desire to grow and hear God and serve God and others is inspiring. But also your pursuit to experience the Father’s Heart and know that love.
11. Jordan: So So thankful for this sister. The first thing you notice is the ever present, infectious smile. Then you witness her beautiful heart for God, for people and those she loves. So thankful for the way she fiercely fights for what she believes in and loves so deeply.
12. Grace: DANCE PARTIES! So thankful for your forever friendship. Thankful for the love you have shown me without needing to earn it. Thankful for the wisdom and understanding you have given me to better understand people and situations. Thankful for the excitement you have in life and the love you have for those you care about.
13. Vanessa: Love this sister so much. She has given me so much wisdom and push to grow. She has such heart for me that she doesn’t let me stay where I was but continues to push me to become the Man God has created me to be. Thankful for all the times we sat at cafes and had lattes and where the best coffee was for the best price!
14. Kate: Thankful for you Kate because of your trustworthiness, genuineness, confidante and encouragement. You always could see right through me even at the beginning of the race. So thankful to call you friend and excited to have a reason to visit South Africa and Australia in the future.

16. Forrest: So So So thankful for my adopted little brother. You have shown me how to walk in confidence and a love for adventure. Thankful for all the conversations and hikes we had and excited to see how God is working in your life. Thankful for the brother you became and so willingly poured into my life as I poured into your life.
I am so thankful for the family I developed over this year around the world. Love you all and so excited to watch God work through you all in the next season. I will be always praying for you and looking for ways to invest into your lives! I pray that your lives a full of God’s love and you know it at new depths and you are fully blessed beyond imagining to continue being a blessing to those you come into contact with.
