Cambodia is here!  I know it's been a while so let me catch you up…

On one of our first days upon arriving in Cambodia, we were blessed with the chance to see Ankor Wat!  We usually don't get the chance to see the sites until the end of a month of ministry.  But, we arrived in Cambodia so close to Ankor that we thought we shouldn't pass on the opportunity.

After a day at Ankor Wat, we traveled to our ministry site for month 5!

The province we're working in is called BanTeay Mean Chey.  But to tell you the truth, I usually just tell people we're in the middle of nowhere, Cambodia.   This part of Cambodia is very dry, deserted, hot, little food, extremely poor, polluted, ect.  It has definitely been the toughest environment we've been so far.

Most days, something culturally bizarre happens and Dan and I look at each other, laugh, and wonder, "Where am I?  And how did I get here?"  I still get amazed at how I came to be on this journey around the world.  And I'm truly enjoying the path God sets out for me each month.  Whether times are challenging or rewarding, it continues to be the experience of a lifetime!

This month, my team and I are working with Kone Kmeng, which means "Children" in Western Cambodia.  We're working with them on their "Save the Children" initiative.  They help at-risk children and those in the poor villages get a good education and to build them up to be leaders in their communities.

This week we've worked with kids all the way from kindergarteners to 13 year olds.  We've been teaching them English, leading Bible Studies, singing songs, and playing all kinds of games.  Next week we're even going out into the community to invite people to our church service.

I was offered the chance to give a sermon to the villagers at church today.  I'm currently trying to upload the video for yall to watch.

Prayer requests:  Please continue to pray for health and safety for the team.  And that the kids hearts will be open for the messages we bring them.

And, as always, I've got plenty of pictures for you!

It's very hot here in Cambodia.  Sometimes you have to find water Bear Grills style.  Climb a tree and cut open a coconut.

They know what the camera means… time to shine!  Show off your faces!

This is me teaching the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 to the older ones.

We have to travel in this tuk tuk for 45 minutes everyday down a dirt road to get to villages.

As always, the kids are never shy when it comes to cameras.

This is our Pastor and ministry contact.  He's a great guy and has a huge heart for his church.

This is Soytry, our translator.  It's been awesome to have a fluent translator who is "actually" fluent in both languages.

This is Dan leading a game of octopus tag!  The kids are quicker than you think, tough to catch.

One thing I've learned about kindergarteners is that their attention spans don't last long.  They have be entertained ALL THE TIME.  So, we usually teach them for 30 minutes, then games… teach for 30 minutes, then recess…
