So, I'm sitting here in the South Korea airport reading about what we're going to be doing in Thailand once we get there.  Here's some general info:

We're working with House of Union Shelter for Lahu Children.

The ministry is located in Chiang Rai in Northen Thailand (for those of you who have GoogleMaps).

Here's a short description of the ministry:

House of Union (HOU) provides and cares for Lahu hill tribe children whose parents are unable to appropriately care for them or children who do not have parents. The majority of the children live at HOU, while some remain in their villages with other family members. From the vision of Lahu community and church leaders, grew this dream for their villages’ children. These leaders saw and understood the problems faced by children growing up in poor villages. They want to prepare their children to successfully meet the opportunities of the 21st century world. Our top purpose is to tell the children about Jesus and to make them His disciples. With a goal to improve the quality of life of our children, we aim to provide long-term assistance to Lahu children and orphans living in poverty.

This may possibly be another construction month for me and my new team, The Plunge.  But right now, we don't know for sure.  If there's anything we've learned on the World Race so far, it's to expect the unexpected.

When we arrive in Bangkok, YWAM will give the whole squad a cultural and ministry briefing, and then each team is of to their ministry site.  Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and I'll see you there!
