We've arrived in Chiang Rai, Thailand at the ministry site of House of Union.  My new team and I have been working hard on a lot of different projects.  Our days usually start with work:  chopping wood, building a rice shack, tilling the garden, pulling weeds in the garden, smoothing down bamboo with machettes, ect.

In the late afternoon, the kids from the hill tribe of Lahu come to the site to eat, do some chores for the ministry, and to play soccer, of course!  Some nights, before the kids go to bed, we teach them English.

The kids get a good and safe night's sleep here at the site and then, in the morning, the Pastor takes them back to their village that lies extremely close to the border of Burma.

House of Union gives the kids a safe and healthy place to spend their evenings.  They get a good meal, have some fun, and get a chance to learn worship (some of the kids are learning guitar).

So, here are some photos of the past couple of weeks.  Thanks for your continued prayers!

Our first team picture.

Dan and I riding an elephant.

If we're not playing soccer, we're playing this:  a game that's a mix between volleyball and soccer.

The younger ones take turns pulling each other in this cart.

This is the shack we've been helping to build.

The floor is made of bamboo.

Here's our garden.

Some more of the garden and the rice fields in the background.

The new shack next to the old one.  The old one is used for rice storage while the new one will be for the kids to rest in, do homework, ect.

Instead of video games, the kids play games with marbles!

Here's my machette.  I've used this thing for just about everything.
