Well, I left Cambodia with a bang! My team and I felt like we did the most for the Kingdom in Cambodia than we've done so far on the Race. I'd love to tell you more about our last days there, but I've arrived in a country where these kinds of topics are "sensitive."
I've arrived safely in our "Challenge Country," The Socialist Republic of Vietnam!

We're working in the Capital City of Ho Chi Minh and living in the "international community" known as District 7. It's very beautiful here and, surprisingly, a lot different than Cambodia. The cultural differences within Southeast Asia continue to keep us on our toes. Every month, we're having to adapt and start over in learning the local's way of doing things.
But, District 7 is full of internationals who have moved here seeking work, ect. We've already met people from Jamaica, Brazil, Korea, Malawi, France, and of course the USA. The biggest issue, and what we're basically trying to build for the internationals, is community and fellowship. The internationals are lonely here. They come to Vietnam by themselves and are surrounded by a people and culture they do not understand. So, we're helping to build and show the value of community/fellowship in their lives.
That is the very short version of what I'm doing this month. I'm sorry I have to be so vague, but, again, I'm not at liberty to say much more. The purpose of this blog is to let you know that I won't be blogging very much this month, if at all. Because of the "political situation" in Vietnam, it's better if I hold off on the details until I get to Malaysia.
But, for the record, I am safe! We just have to be smart and more cautious when talking about "this stuff" in this country. And we're having a great time! We ride our bikes around the city, meeting new people, making new friends, and talking with them about why we're here.
I was sick for the first time while being on the World Race last week. But, going 5 months without being sick has got be some sort of World Race record! And I know it's all because of your p- – – – – -. So, please keep them coming!
