Although my entire squad of 50 will go to the same country each month, the squad divides into smaller teams of 6 or 7 in every country.  Each team will go to a different region/village of the country for the month.  This way, our squad can really saturate the country with World Racers!  So, listed below are the names of my team members (with links to their bios).  Even though I consider my whole squad as my brothers and sisters, this team will be my family for the next 11 months (Mom, you know what I mean)!

We chose Beautiful Feet as our team name after a verse that was on Jake’s heart during our last few days at camp:

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!
-Isaiah 52:7

Which is surprising… considering that in the picture below, Jake looks like he's ready for battle!  Everyone went for the William Wallace look!  However, I was the only one who could recite, word for word, his famous speech before fighting the English (They may take our lives, but they'll never take our ______)!  I have my big brother, Ben, to thank for knowing that speech by heart.  Growing up, he must have made me watch that movie every other weekend!  Good times… Thanks Ben!

And, here are some better pictures of Training Camp for you:

Team Beautiful Feet before Squad Wars

This is me the morning after sleeping under the stars!

There was this random dog at camp that would always steal whatever you were playing with (frisbees, soccer balls…).  No one knew who's dog it was.  This was us trying to chase him down.

Camping out, starting a fire, and singing Taylor Swift!

All the guys of B Squad!  16 Strong!
