Yes, I have been traveling.
No, I have not yet left for the World Race.

Yes, I did go to 10 days of training camp in Georgia.
No, I did not want to give up after having to eat crickets, having our baggage lost, sleeping in an airport with 120 squad mates, taking bucket showers and living off of one backpack.

Yes, it was a crazy experience. Different. Challenging phisically, mentally and spiritually.
No, I don’t think it will be easy.

Yes.
No.

I guess that is s how life goes, full of yeses and nos.
We say yes to something, and automatically it means we have to say no to some other thing because of that yes.

They both can be bittersweet.
And that’s how the world race feels right now. I said yes to a great adventure, I said yes to serving others, and I said yes for personal growth, an adventure to see what God has for my life.
This yes is full of no’s. No to being present at friend’s weddings, no to building a career, no to saving money.
Since I am a math person—not!—I’ve decided to look at it as a math problem:

Positive + positive = positive
Negative + negative = positive

I guess there will be a lot of negatives, hard nos, but I have confidence it will all turn into positives.
