I am worthy
I am important
Because of this love I am filled with passion and courage to go on this adventure, humble myself and hope to cause change.
As I discover my worthiness, I can fight for these communities I am about to join. And I am committed to fight against oppression in all of its forms.
If I am important, I know their needs are also important. I want to listen to the voices of the oppressed and marginalized and ensure their voices and needs are heard. And to the best of my abilities do what I can, to be some sort of support.
These 11 months are about recognizing the privileges I have had, and getting away from my comfort zone and doing something about it. I will try my best to bring out dialogue about difficult realities in the world that we blind ourselves to.
