Pravin and I in one of the many buses we used for ministry.

I wanted to briefly blog about one
of our contacts last month in Nepal. His name is Pravin and he was with us each day. He helped us out so much with translating and taking us all around the
city to different ministry sites.
He comes from a pure Hindu family and his sister is very high up in the
Hindu society because she has a lot of power.  She is what they call a juggler.  She has such power that famous people and politicians come
for their fortunes to be told and or serious questions to be answered. These
people come and give her thousands of dollars for her witchcraft to provide
them with answers.  The enemy has a
strong hold over Pravin’s family.

Pravin’s family does not accept the
fact that he is a Christian and when they do he will be totally cut off from
them.  They are very much against
the Christian faith. Pravin’s family already treats him as an outsider and they
do not let him eat their food or be apart of anything they do.

Pravin has had to give up basically
his whole life.  He quit his job
where he was making a lot of money, his family has practically disowned him, and there are
very few Christians in Nepal less than one percent for him to fellowship
with.  Please keep him in your
prayers for a new job and for his family especially his sister to have a
revelation of Christ and how real and living He is, compared to their worthless
idols.

I wanted to blog about one of our
last nights with Pravin.  We had
him sleep over in our room to spend one last night with him. We were all very
close since it was a small room and there were 6 of us. Pravin slept next to me
and in the middle of the night he woke me up.  He said, “Brother Vinny as I was laying here I saw a
dark hand over my face so I turned to the side and as I turned I saw red eyes
starring at me.”  He was so
scared that he woke my teammate Jon and I up. I looked at Jon and said lets
pray. We then prayed over Pravin for a long time just casting the fear and the
evil spirit away in Jesus name.  We
then told him to go back to bed and that we would keep praying. As we prayed I
felt a hand on my knee and I thought it was Pravin so I turned my head and
flashed my headlamp at him, but he was sound asleep. I told Jon that a hand
touched my knee and he said lets just keep praying.  We prayed for light, that the Lord’s light would shine
through the darkness.  We prayed
for at least an hour and read scripture over the room and over Pravin until we
had peace about it.  After we had
peace we felt that it was broken whatever it was and so we went to sleep.

I woke up again during the middle
of the night only to find that the lights were all on in our room. It was still
the middle of the night and completely dark outside. I did not know why our
lights were on and why no one woke up to turn them off.  As I got up to turn the lights off the
Lord spoke to me.  The Lord told me
that the Light overcame the darkness. I could feel His Spirit in that moment
and needless to say I slept very peacefully that night. The next day Pravin
thanked us for praying for him and that he slept the rest of the night.

The next night we were all out to
eat with Pravin. During dinner he received a very upsetting call from his
Pastor.  Pravin was planning to
leave that week for ministry in Thailand. He was very excited about this opportunity.
His mother and sister told him they would not give him any money to support him
and that there was no way he could make it there on his own.  Pravin put his trust in the Lord to
provide and make a way. The plans were already set for Pravin to go to
Thailand, but his Pastor called and said that the bank would not let him get a
visa because he did not have enough money in it.  This news shattered Pravin.  He began to cry at the dinner table and would not stop for
the rest of the night. We took him to the room and prayed for hours and tried
to encourage him, but he basically gave up.  He said I do not understand I have nothing left to give and
nothing works out.  We urged
him that the Lord’s Will will be done, and if He wants you to go to Thailand
then He will make a way. We finally went to bed that night and the next day we
said our final goodbye to Pravin.
Later that day he called us and said with tears that the Pastor called
him and said that everything has worked out for him to go to Thailand. Praise
the Lord:). I know the Lord had us with Pravin for a reason. I know if he was
alone when he heard that news that night that he could of easily given up his
own life, as the devil has attacked him in the past with suicidal thoughts and
several attempts.

Please keep our dear brother in
your prayers.  He has really given
up everything for Christ, and we think we know sacrifice in good ole America.
Please pray that the Lord will provide for his needs and for protection over
his mind. Please also pray for Nepal as the country is in desperate need of
believers to bring Christ’ love to them.
The country is very dark and overwhelmed with witchcraft and idols.

Our ministry site was changed last
minute for this month. Instead of Bucharest we are in Oradea, Romania. We will
be doing construction work for an orphanage every day, and working with the
children in the evenings.  We start
the construction work tomorrow bright and early.  Thank you all for your prayers and support it means so much
to me. I pray that you all feel the measureless love that the Lord has for each
one of you on this day.  God bless
ya
