Last Friday I was at a prayer service that left me incredibly blessed! One situation in particular really humbled me. As we were praying for healing for a brother there, I felt a small tap on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and looked up and saw one of the kids standing in front of me. This little boy can’t be more than 7-8 years old.
The conversation that I had with this boy was very short and profound and went like this;
Him: …um Miss?
Me: Yes?
Him: um Miss last night when I was praying and God told me to give you what I have.
He pulls a fisted hand out of his pocket and places what he had in my hand.
Him: …and this is what I have.
Before I could open my mouth to say anything, he quickly ran off! I looked down to see a folded up dollar bill in my hand… I was so humbled by his gesture! I thought “what faith and trust in God to believe that He will do something big with this!”
It got me thinking… A lot of times when we pray, we limit what we think God can do. When we ask, we don’t ask big thinking that it’s “too much” for God. No healing request is “too big” for God. He wants you to be whole! There isn’t a tragedy that is “too great” to be restored. What we need is faith just the size of a mustard seed and that mustard seed sized faith can move mountains!
Matthew 17:20 “…for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there”, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Have faith and step out! Ask big! Trust big! Faith big! lol Believe all the way and be prepared to be in awe by Him.
Come to Him with your all! If you barely have any strength to walk through life and you’re just crawling through, gather that last bit of strength, look up to Him and surrender it all to Him! His Love will lift you up!
P.S. He also drew me this picture later on… how cute!
