Please see Update section below. Next fundraising deadline is December 2017 NOT 2018;
On Thursday September 28th at 1:09pm, with a miracle in play, I met my first fundraising deadline of $5,000!! For those who don’t know yet, September 28th was the first fundraising deadline. Before I go on about the miracle,first of all, praises to God!! He has been so good and faithful! Thanks to all of those who have been supporting me! and to all the anonymous supporters!! Your sacrificial, humble hearted and loving support is very much appreciated! Be it financially, or through prayer, those prayers through the night without me even asking, lifting me up when it would get tough and rejoicing with me with good news and for those that would listen to me and ask me questions throughout. It all means so much to me!!
It really was a miracle on how that number hit $5,000! God was glorified through a couple dear to me (names won’t be mentioned; I will refer to them as “husband” and “wife”)! They wanted to support me but something came up last minute that they weren’t able to until later. But, God! the One to whom nothing is impossible to! He had a plan… I got out of work Thursday and the wife texted me to ask what I had left to hit my first fundraising deadline. I let her know that at that moment I had $400 left! Told her that I wasn’t worried and that I knew God would come through! After all, what is $400 to God? a few minutes later she asked me to stop by at her work. I grabbed a quick lunch and stopped by her work. Once I got there, she shared this amazing greatness with me! After she found out that I had $400 left, her husband called her to let her know that he got paid (he gets paid in check form 2x a month) and in addition to the check, he got an additional $400 in cash!!! She told him, “that’s Vika’s money!!” they then both agreed to donate that amount to my mission trip bringing me right to $5,000!!
…it gets better!!
The donation they made came right back to them that same day! Later on that day, the wives lunch was bought for her AND they came home to find a check in the mail for just a few dollars under $400!!!
How amazing is that?! God will always take care of and provide and we never need to worry! Especially when we seek to live out His will! For when He wills something, He will see it through! God is sovereign and oh so great! Those who have been in my life long enough will have heard me say the following phrase at least once, “There’s no better place to be than in the center of Gods will!” Amen!!
I came home later that day and as I began to pack up my place to move, I turned on some worship and the first song that came on was “Unstoppable God” by Elevation Worship. It was so perfect for the moment! Here are some of the lyrics to this song…
“Unstoppable God let Your glory go on and on! Impossible things in Your Name they shall be done! Nothing shall be impossible, Your kingdom reigns unstoppable! We’ll shout Your praise forevermore! Jesus our God unstoppable!“
I am currently at $5,050 which brings me to be 29% funded of the total of $17,700 for my trip!! This is just $3,800 away from being %50 funded of the total amount!
Update/Corrected!! My next fundraising deadline is on December 18th, 2017 (not 2018) by which I need to have another $5,000 in support raised – $4,950 to go!!
Although as I had previously mentioned, while out on the mission field, I won’t always have internet access or cellphone network as we will often be in remote areas and villages. I won’t always have the opportunity to connect on the field to build my support team therefore, I do pray that I can be fully funded before I leave on January 12th, 2018…
All donations are tax deductible and can be made online through my blog by pressing the “Donate!” button on the left or by sending a check. If you’d like to support via a check, please message me or give me a call for further details. You can also find more information in regards to support in my blog titled “I’ll descend into the pit if you’ll hold tightly to the ropes.”
I will be so grateful to have you join my support team. I am praying for my supporters and will continue to do so throughout the trip! I can’t wait until the day that we can begin to bring Gods Love to the world!! Actually the first day of this journey is…
…just 100 days away!!!
I can’t stop smiling… thank you, thank you and THANK YOU!!!
With Love
