A few days ago I was leafing through my bible when God brought my attention to something interesting in the book of Ezra. This man! Ezra had such favor of God upon Him that even secular kings wrote out decrees providing with anything that was needed for the restoration of the temple! Ezra led people of Israel back to Jerusalem to restore the ruins of the temple.
First, there was King Cyrus; gold, silver and goods were to be given. Not only that but what Nebuchadnezzar took away for his own gods, Cyrus returned!!
Then there was King Darius; he made a decree also that whatever the people of Israel needed for the restoration, that it be given to them. Even whatever was needed for an offering to God! He also decreed protection to the people of Israel from those who would try to alter this decree.
And King Artaxerxes; this king made a decree for not only for Israel to be given what was needed by freewill offerings but that whatever else more was needed, they were able to get from the kings treasure house. Even any treasurers beyond the kings house were given a decree that whatever Ezra required by God, was to be given to him.
Israel faced challenges and struggles throughout but they didn’t give up! With Gods great grace, they were able to restore the ruins of the temple! When God has a plan, it will come to pass! These kings, they weren’t kings that worshipped God but their hearts were stirred and they provided what was needed above and beyond! They even let the people go back to their city, to rebuild their temple, to worship their God! Our God!! They saw and recognized the power of God in Israel.

- That the hearts of rulers and leaders of the nations and tribes that we are going to, will be stirred with favor for us!
- For opportunities to speak to these leaders and rulers! For as we see in the book of Ezra, when the hearts of rulers are stirred, more is given! If rulers and leaders come to God, they can be a greater influence and more freedom to worship our Father can come through that!
- For doors to be opened so that we can fully and completely do what is willed by God to be done!
- For what may seem impossible, will be possible!
- For all of our needs and provisions to be met above and beyond! That of mine, my squad members and the ministry hosts that we will be partnering with.
In the Old Testament, the temple was a physical place. In the New Testament, God resides in the temple of our heart! Join me in prayer that the ruins of the temple in the hearts of mankind, throughout these nations, will be restored to it’s full strength!
Let His Kingdom come! Let His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!
