….This is something that applies to more than just the dance floor at a High School Prom.

There are things that cause our brain to run around in circles and to wonder, times when no explanation seems to fit. There are questions for which there seems to be no answer

And if I am being honest, the type A in me gets a slightly frustrated at that. I want to understand things, measure them and have a hypothesis.

But I believe God wants us to have gaps.

Our Almighty Creator not only allows for things to go unsettled, but He enables things in our life to turn out like this.

If we had all the answers and all things connected, there would be no room for Him to fill in the blanks with His answers and His provisions. For Him to become the way when there doesn’t seem to be one.

Our perfect God does not need to take a coffee break and He does not get too lazy to finish our story, He doesn’t make mistakes that leave holes behind and He does not forget a single detail.

He purposefully leaves gaps. He allows for there to be disconnects and unresolved topics.

He leaves room for Jesus.

He wants us to open the door for Him into those open items, allowing there to be room for his addition to our story.

So I pray that we actively and constantly invite God into our pages, that we let Him fill in all the blanks, add chapters, edit and redirect things and lead us in the making.

In the end, who else would I want, but the most loving, powerful, kind and all-knowing Father, to be holding the pencil to my story.
