Keys for the Journey

The idea: Keys for the Journey: tangible key, placed on a necklace with a word inscribed that has been prayed for, discovered and imprinted there just for you.

The purpose: To step right into what God has for us through this word, to ask him to share with you and help you see what this word means for you, to discover why He has spoken this word over you.

Continuation: To find freedom and His promises in this word. To learn how to live in it and have it dwell in your heart. To then share this thing He has empowered you with to someone that you have prayerfully considered. To let God show you His heart for that person and his desire for that person to have that word. To give that Key to His Kingdom away.

Reason: This key (the power He entrusts us with, the strengths He gives us, the promises He has for us and the story He gives us) aren’t ours to hoard, to use for our own agenda and glory but they are HIS. They are His and intended for the children He loves.

At launch (last bit of training in Atlanta the days right before we leave for our first country – in our case, Australia!) this year we received our very own Key to take on our journey!

My word: J O Y

What I think it means: My personal word for this year is Trust. I felt like God put that in my heart for 2018 and beyond. Trust in Him. The fully realize that I don’t need to have clarity, or a perfect plan, or all of the answers. That all I need is to trust Him. My key was God’s loving way of reminding me to not just have trust and be complacent in situations. To not just allow myself to cruise because “he has got me”, but to have J O Y in trust. To have joy in the fact that “God has got me”, that He is in my boat and that I can stand firm on his faithfulness. To find joy in trusting him to write my story and that he loves me. To find joy in trusting him in where he calls me to stand and what he calls me to do. To find joy in trusting him in the situations where I have no clue what is happening or what he is doing. To find joy in trusting him in the highs and in the lows. To find joy in the fact that I CAN fully trust him.

What will probably happen: God is going to say “Yes sweet daughter, that is a great thought and I do want you to find joy in trusting me, but I am about to show you so much more as to what that word means for you and I. So buckle up and get ready”. You know just God being God and taking you and I on fun, loving and amazing/unimaginable surprises

May the God of hope fill you

with all joy and peace

as you trust in Him,

so that you may overflow with hope

by the power of Holy Spirit
