Our time in Jamaica has come to an end. My month in Jamaica started off as a challenge but ended up being a month of so much spiritual and emotional growth. Thank you for keeping me in your prayers. Here are my favorite eleven memories And some pictures from the month! πŸ™‚

Photo: Team Scraps! Our last day in Jamaica. Thankful for the laughter we get to share as a team.

Photo: A glimpse of our room. We had one bed and the rest slept on the floor. Space was limited this month but it helped us bond and learn lots of patience πŸ™‚

1. Many communities come together Friday evenings to eat together. Many set up areas outside their home to cook and sell meals. Others sell snacks and refreshments. I love seeing how this culture values relationships.

2. A group of us traveled to a jail in the town of Alexandra. We lead a devotional for the police officers.

3. Wednesday morning bible studies at a small barber shop down the street from us.

4.Learning more about our host Sharonia while helping her prepare and cook delicious Jamaican meals.

5.Taking public transportation to Runaway Bay and enjoying a relaxing day at the beach.

6. Washing dishes with KatAnn and learning more about the Jamaican culture

7. All night prayer burn at the church. We worshiped and prayed all night at the church.

8. Leading church service on Easter. It was beautiful to see how all of us played a part in the service and how each one of us was pushed outside our comfort zone.

9.Watching one of the neighborhood kids build his own kite for the kite festival

10.When we went on a run some of the neighborhood kids joined us and others gathered to watch. The following evening more kids joined us and then one of the boys named Kiki lead us in stretching (When he grows up he wants to be a soccer coach πŸ™‚

11. On our prayer walk one of the teams met Odius. He started to attend church and invited us to meet his parents. His parents invited us in their home and treated us to delicious homemade carrot juice.

Also, friends I still haven’t reached my fundraising goal. So far I have $12,735 but I need $18,100 by the 30th of this month in order to be able to stay on the field. Please prayerfully consider helping me out financially. Thank you πŸ™‚
