Obedience ::Part 4::

Hosea. He was called to marry a prostitute. He was called to
seek after her and honor the marriage that they had. God had called him to marry
someone who is considered unlovable in the world.

 

Abraham. He was promised a generation of decedents. Sarah
was barren and then was finally able to bear a son. Isaac their only son was
the line of his decedents. God called Abraham to sacrifice his only son for
Him.

 

Me. One night I was called to encourage a team who was
rather discouraged. I don’t do those types of things. Sometimes it is hard for
me to even speak positive things over people. But I heard from the Lord and I
followed. I really don’t know the results of my actions. I do know that it was
for God’s glory.

 

Hosea and Abraham were asked to do some monumental things. They both followed God and in the end were rewarded for their obedience. It may not always be an easy thing to follow what God has planned. It is a daily process. I am supposed to obey God in my everyday actions. I am supposed to be listening to what Christ asks of me. I have to constantly surrender to His will and listen to His voice in order to do so. Although I have been struggling through this I know that God speaks to me.

 Everyday He has a word, I just need to listen.
