What do you think of when you hear the word Obedience?
Some may think of it as a negative word.
Others may think it is very vital to the Christian life.

Obedience comes from the word Obey.
Obey means to comply with or follow the commands,
restrictions, wishes, or instructions [of the Lord].

This month in Bryon Bay, Australia my ministry is Obedience.
I am to listen to Christ everyday and choose to obey or disobey what He asks of
me.

So I am learning what this obedience looks like.  I have never really thought about the importance
of this word in my walk with Christ. To follow Christ is to obey Him in all
that He asks
. It is not an easy journey. Sometimes being obedient means doing something besides yourself and giving up your rights. But obedience reaps blessings from God and it also brings God glory.

In my pursuit of obedience this month I am going to share
with you. This is part one of my series in Obedience.

Romans 6:17-18
But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
