Last week our ministry was to visit the many fellowships
around Kumi area. We weren’t really sure what these would look like. All we
knew is that we were bringing the Word.

After attending a couple I just saw them as attending
another church service. It was truly boring to me because I couldn’t understand
what was happening most of the time. It wasn’t until the fourth or fifth
fellowship that I realized something.

teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. People would
bring things like nuts, pumpkin, flour, broom, etc to the church. They would

times the object given to people in need.

V. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together
and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with
glad and generous hearts, They met on Sunday for church and during the week
for fellowships lasting almost all day. And after they would often share meals
together as a body.

were being saved. Mainly they did praise Jesus with song and fellowship
with one another. Many fellowships started out small but the Reverend said they
have grown significantly since the start.

You would think I was exaggerating. But I would not lie in
saying that I found evidence in these fellowships for every verse in that
passage. All that I can say is to let this be an example to the believers
around the world. It is still possible to come together as the early church
did.
