It is funny how God will just put things in your life at the
last minute. We were having lunch at camp one day and this couple came to meet us. They had previously worked with
AIM in the 9-month FYM (First Year Missionary) program with AIM. They offered
their house for the last night that we were going to be in New Zealand. We
really didn’t know how much they were going to bless us in the short time with
them.
Once we got to their home they were so welcoming to us.
Trena was really open in sharing her heart. This couple has such a passion for
the Lord in their life. It is so important to them to hear the voice of the
Lord. It was when they were obedient to what Christ wanted them to do that He
truly provided. It was amazing to me how much they gave away from money, to
time, to their house, to the simplest of things. One lesson that they have
learned throughout their lifetime was that God really does bless us when we
give wholeheartedly. They spoke such life into us that day we were with them.
Just by sharing their life stories and even where they are in life now.
I desire my life to be a reflection of theirs because they are truly a
reflection of Christ. I desire to be so in tune to God that I can be an
encouragement to others. I want to do things in life because I am to be
obedient to Christ no matter how I feel.
I have to make a conscious choice to be obedient to Christ in all that I do.
I have to choose Him everyday.
