First of all, I would like to give a huge to thanks to everyone who has supported me thus far on my mission trip. I sincerely appreciate all the donations I have received and would not be here in Zambia right now if it weren’t for all my lovely supporters. With that said, I still need to raise almost $3,000 by the end of the calendar year to be fully funded. If I’m not funded by then, I risk having to go home early and missing out on the many more months of ministry, community, and discipleship God has in store for me. I would love it if you partnered with me and helped me to stay on the World Race by donating. If just 30 people donated $100 each I would be fully funded!!! Again, thank you so much!

I recently reached 100 days on the World Race and to celebrate I decided to write a blog about 10 things I have experienced/learned so far in Africa. Hope you enjoy!
1. Getting to spend our whole month in Zimbabwe working and living at the same ministry, the Sandra Jones Centre (a crisis center for young women and children fo abuse), was such a blessing as we move around a lot more in India and Nepal.
2. One hard thing about that though was having to say goodbye at the end of the month to all the wonderful young women and children we met and befriended.
3. On top of that, getting to eat popcorn and drink tea almost every night as a team was really unifying and we were able to bond over our mutual love of tea and popcorn.
4. That one time Syd Rueth and I got baptised during our last weekend in Zim. It was really cool to have two people who I have grown to really love and look up to in the past few months baptise me (thanks Hilary and Syd Will!)
5. Going on a Rhino walk while in Zimbabwe reminded me again just how much I really love animals and it broke my heart to hear about all the poaching that takes place in Southern Africa.
6. Being able to spend the whole month of Zambia in the bush, on the crocodile and hippo infested Zambezi river has actually been so amazing (ie full of peace and rest), it has been so nice to disconnect from the rest of the world and just focus on God and all that he is speaking over me.
7. Bathing in the river with Lizzy (a young woman in a neighboring village we have befriended) after helping her clean her yard and then being able to sit and talk with Mama Ruth (Lizzy’s mother) for sometime afterward and learn about basket weaving.
8. Experiencing breathtaking African sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing every day.
9. Crocodiles, hippos, rhinos, snakes, tiny scorpions, giant beetles, ants that bite, I love Africa and all it’s awesome creatures and amazing nature!
10. Getting to swim right on the top/edge of Victoria Falls in devil’s pool! Finally got to see one of the numerous places named after me!
