Man… Where to start. I’ll start with the back story. Let’s go back to month one. I was in Cape Town, South Africa. During our first week we had the honor of having one of our squad leaders, Mark, with our team. We had what world racers call a “one on one”. A “one on one” is when you and another person sit down and talk about life and get to know each other. During that month I had a really hard time valuing myself and didn’t really know how God saw me. Mark had challenged me to ask God what He felt about me and saw in me. I kinda laughed it off and said okay. I never actually did the challenge and never got back to Mark when he left. Now fast forward to this month. I had a “one on one” with my other squad leader, Tina, and told her my testimony. She challenged me to do the same thing that Mark had. They had no idea that they both had challenged me to do that. I got quite the laugh out of it and I remember thinking to myself “wow God you are funny!” I then knew it was something I should take serious and do. So I did it. Man, when you are open and willing to listen to Christ, he reveals things you would never expect. He laid one thing on my heart that was so big that I didn’t expect or even want to take a hold of. He told me that I needed to become more bold. That I needed to stop being a follower and become a leader. I was so surprised I was like “Me Lord? Nah. You got to be kidding me. I’m a follower. Not a leader. I don’t have what it takes! You are crazy!” He then told me that I needed to fully trust in Him. No ifs ands or buts. I decided to accept His calling. Man.. After accepting His calling I have become more bold. I’ve even surprised myself with how bold I’ve become. It has been such a beautiful thing! I have decided that I will walk in leadership and boldness the rest of my race and beyond. God is so good and it’s incredible the things He does when you say yes. Madagascar has been such a beautiful month. Other than what I have heard from the Lord. I have worked with children, churches, and door to door. I have learned so much about a country that I don’t think most people know about! I was able to work with a ministry called OM. We did different children’s programs that were kinda like VBS. We were able to pray for healing for the sick. I was able to preach in a village. Which was really cool! I was able to
actually hear God speaking to me. Which was so cool! I had the opportunity to speak into someone’s life and encourage them with things that I didn’t even know were bothering her or that she was struggling with. I also got to serve alongside a group of translators. The translators were amazing. Their hearts for the Lord is incredible. They all come from different backgrounds and different stories. They were some of the most kindest and loving people
I’ve ever met! I have been able to make long lasting relationships! I can’t wait to see how the Lord is going to use them and their ministry! Now off to a new place in the world and I can’t wait to see how God is going to continue to use me for His glory!!! Thank you for the prayers and support!
