Botswana… Where to start?!?! I went into the month not expecting much except for the heat and that we were going to do some construction. Little did I know that I would become my favorite month so far! We had the opportunity to start building a dorm for future ministries! We heard that a group of guys were coming to help us. They are from the Baptist Theological College in Johannesburg, South Africa. I was excited to make new friends that month and to work alongside them! When I had finally met them I knew that there was something special about them. The first time they came, there was only five of them. We all hit off well and it was an amazing week of construction! We were able to build amazing friendships with them! It was sad to see them leave the first week they were there. The second time they came back, not only did we get to see them all but they brought about fourteen other guys with them! It was part of thief assignment for school. During that two and a half week stay, we were able to get really far in our foundation, build relationships, introduce them to smores, and have a successful family fun day. I just have to say that these guys are some of the most sweetest, funniest, caring guys I’ve ever met. They treated us like ladies, cooked for us, prayed for us, and helped strengthen our relationship with the Lord! One of my most favorite memories with them is when a few of them specifically prayed for us. They had prayed for my nightmares and relationship with the Lord. I felt so blessed to have them around and miss them all like crazy! I am writing about them because the race isn’t only about ministry, but it’s also about the people we will come in contact with and how we were able to pour into each other’s lives. I am asking you to please be praying for them. Life gets hard sometimes and I know that some of them have struggled since we have parted ways. Please be praying for their studies in school. Please be praying for their willingness to follow God’s will through everything! I appreciate your prayers for them!
