A little over a year ago, I decided to sign up for this thing. The World Race. I thought about how difficult it could potentially be for me to fundraise, being an introvert and all. But I decided to trust in the Lord, that He would complete and provide for the calliing He gave me to do this.
The Lord told me that if I were faithful to play my part, that He would get me to full funding by training camp. Then, a lot of distractions came and instead of pushing through, I let them pull my focus away.
After training camp, I started to listen to a book recommmended by one of the leaders, called The God Ask. It challenged me to not let the statistics or norms of fundraising deter me from praying BIG prayers. So, I set my ”God ask” before not only Him, but before every single person on my FB page (HAHA)! That He would get me fully funded by launch. Which was 35 days away at the time.
$7,598 in 35 days. Lord, You can do it. But even if You don’t, I will still praise You.
First, it was a $600 donatiion that very weekend. Then came $50, and $200, and $7 and then an event that brought in over $2,000.
Before I knew it, there were only 9 days before launch. & the Lord provided a check for $2,000 and an extra way to pay for a VERY expensive vaccine.
Yesterday was day 35. And I was still in need of a little over $2,000. I felt the Lord put on my heart to host an extended Live Stream Worship session on social media. For 6 hours. The Lord was calling me to sit and let Him work. But He was also calling me to sacrifice. Child, will you sacrifice 6 hours and worship me?
So I said yes. It felt similar to a fast. But I was not fasting food, I was fasting from worry and striving. I could do nothing but play and sing unto the Lord. I received 4 or 5 donations from some amazing people who I love. And am still so very grateful.
Hour 6 came and honestly I was just amazed at How the Lord strengthened the skin on my fingertips to withstand 6 hours of guitar playing! lolol
I was still a little over $2,000 dollars out from full funding. I ended the stream with a prayer, where I laid the rest of the fundraising at His feet. And walked away with an incredible amount of peace. Knowing that even still, the Lord is faithful and will do what would bring Him the most glory.
Today is day 36. HAHA. And I am now fully funded. In less than 24 hours, the Lord provided the remaining need. What an amazing God I serve.
The Lord heard my prayer. And I believe that He is proud of His daughter for asking Him a BIG prayer. I think He has so much fun with Big prayers. He gets to glorify Himself and work things out for my good.
Thank you Father. Thank you for your perfect provision. Thank you for glorifying yourself today. You are faithful. Yes. You. Are.
