So what does, “I’m with you” mean?
In the Old Testament God meets with Moses, calls him to do seemingly impossible things, then says to him, “But I will be with you.” (Exodus 3:11). In the New Testament Jesus’ last words to his followers were, “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matt 28:20).
And you know what I’m finding? All the pages in-between are full of stories of a faithful God who’s anthem over His people always was, is, and will be, “I’m with you. I’m for you. I’m on your side.” That’s the heartbeat of God for you and me.
You know what else I’m finding? Those three words should be our heartbeat for each other. Who are you with? Who are you for? Who are you coming alongside in this life to let them know you believe in them? Who has said those words to you or lived them out in the ways they love on you?
My hope for this t-shirt:
- Wear one as a reminder that GOD is WITH you. GOD is FOR you.
- Gift one as a reminder to someone else that not only is God for them, but YOU are for them and you believe in them, too.
