Hey! I’m Victoria, never Vicky or Tori, but sometimes “V.”
- I’m 25!
- I’m a Mainer, currently living in Boston.
- I definitely have a crush on Bob Goff.
- Quality time is one of my favorite things.
- Strong tea makes me feel at home most anywhere.
- I love the outdoors, especially oceans and mountains.
- I love to create – paint, and draw, and sometimes write.
- I value authentic, meaningful relationships and honest conversations.
- I love to read, and Donald Miller’s words inspire me to live a better story.
- I daily wish I was as witty as every British person I’ve ever met seems to be.
- God has been teaching me a lot about actively waiting and the joys of obedience.
- I have lived with two of the greatest Roommates, Becca & Chelsie, for the past 5 years. No doubt they have played a huge role in shaping who I am, and they continue to make me a better person.
- I started running for clean water about a year and a half ago. On October 11th, 2015 I ran my 1st marathon in Chicago through World Vision. I don’t think clean water should be a luxury.
- I’ve been working as an Enrollment Counselor in the Admissions Office at Eastern Nazarene College – my alma mater – for the past 3 years. I’ve discovered so much during this time, like the fact that I totally love mentoring college age women, hanging out with teens at summer camps or fall retreats, and participating in shaving cream wars.
- I spent the summer of 2011 in Mpeketoni, Kenya with AIM and that’s where the story changed for me. That’s where Jesus became much more than red ink on a page. It was in Kenya that I saw the healing-breathing-loving-alive-right-now-working Jesus, and I’ve never been the same. I feel so privileged to carry His hope, love, truth and freedom to the nations!
- For the past 4 years I’ve had this hope and longing to “go” – back to Africa and out into the world – to love and learn, and know Jesus in more intimate ways than a comfort zone allows. To share hope and truth about a God who names us Beloved. I am so excited to live simply and fully with Abba, my squad, my team, and the people we encounter on the adventure ahead. It feels kind of surreal that Jesus’ whisper of “wait” is finally “now.”
He who promised is faithful. Always.
