Many of you have personally blessed me with your words of encouragements,
your prayers, and your money.  Even just the fact
that you are reading this right now means a lot to me!
THANK YOU for your support!

The October 2008 World Race squad is set to depart the United States
for the Philippines in just a couple of weeks, and we are confident that the entire squad will get to go.
But, in order to actually go, each of us needs to have raised
at least half of our financial support for the year.

Remember, our goal is $13,800
I currently have enough money to start the trip;
I just need about $2,500 more.  (This graphic needs slight updating.)

Several of my squadmates need your support too.

Joel Chitwood is on my Team Aletheia (which means Truth).
He worships God out in the mountains of Montana.
Joel is something of a computer expert, and he also studies molecular biology.
He was involved in the Campus Crusade ministry during college, and
he is eager to follow Jesus in more international missions.
Joel needs several thousand more dollars in his account.
Our team needs Joel to join us,
so please pray for him and consider supporting him.

Lindsay Heston is on Team Karis (which means Grace).
She had been pursuing an acting career in California
when God called her to international missions.  She has lots of energy and a huge heart!
Lindsay isn’t afraid to say what she thinks or stand up and shout out her love for the Lord.
There is no doubt that we need her to join us this year to make us laugh
and to encourage us to live authentically, fully surrendered to God’s will.
God has tested her faith with this whole fundraising process,
as she currently has only about $1,000 in her account.  She still needs about $12,000!
Lindsay has a dinner fundraiser planned for this weekend in St. Louis, and
I am so excited to be able to attend!
Please pray for Lindsay – that she would remain confident in the Lord’s provision and
that people would come out to the dinner and be moved to support her.

Ian Schumann is on Team Quake (they’re going to shake things up!).
Ian comes from a Jewish background and
was a self-proclaimed atheist until just a couple of years ago.  He is a linguist who enjoys philosophical and spiritual discussions.
Since being captured by the saving love of Christ, he has been actively involved in his college campus ministry in Austin, Texas.  He is also an outdoor enthusiast.
Just today, Ian announced that his account jumped from $1,400 to $5,000!
Praise the Lord!
Please pray for Ian and consider supporting him to guarantee his place on this mission.

Brenda Wilchowy is on Team Dunamis (which means Power).
She served with YWAM: Youth With A Mission a couple years ago, and
now she is excited to join us on the World Race.
She lives in northern Manitoba, Canada, so we suspect that she might be particularly excited about the warmer weather in the countries on our route!
Brenda is very thoughtful, and she also cracks us up:
during training camp, she put a rubber snake in the port-a-potty!

These are just a few of my squadmates who I know need money urgently.
Our daily budget (for food and accommodations) will be about $7.
That hardly seems like anything, so you see, even just a little donation goes a loooong way!
I encourage you, again, to consider supporting us financially.

I also welcome you to get to know each of us and
follow us around the world as we learn more about what it means to live out our faith.

PRAY for us, not only that we would have the money we need, but also
that we would continually be loving toward others and open to God’s guidance
There is a spiritual war going on, and we are determined to claim the earth for the Kingdom of God!
