Pavel is a Romanian teenager with cancer. He went through chemotherapy several months ago, and now he has an infection in his leg from a bone graft surgery.

(He is the one sitting in the chair, and his mother is standing behind him in the kerchief. Surrounding him are my Team Banah, Team Lunchbox, Becky and some of the kids from Casa Shalom.)

For three nights, Pavel stayed with us – he lives in a village a couple hours away from Bucharest – and we worshipped and prayed together.  On Sunday afternoon, we took him to the hospital where he will undergo more tests and treatments, if he actually still needs them.

You see, Pavel is clinging to the hope of miraculous healing, and we invite you to join us in beseeching God on his behalf.  His greatest desire is to be a strong witness to his community and to the world, so he has completely surrendered himself into God’s caring hands.  He will sing God’s praises regardless of what happens with his health because he has faith in a faithful God!

Jesus said, “I tell you the truth,
if you have faith as small as a mustard seed,
you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move.
Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:19-21
