Hello!  My name is Vicki.

I tend to be known for my intense enthusiasm and boisterous laughter.  I enjoy reading, hiking, interpretative dance, spicy food, and challenging expectations.  And it is with great joy that I dedicate my 30th year entirely to Jesus while on the World Race!

Having known Him personally for most of my life, you’d think I’d have discovered my “identity in Christ” by now, but it still boggles my mind that He loves me and includes me in his work.  God created me for His own pleasure and purposes, and as He refines His character in me, I seek to glorify and serve Him.  The Lord accepts me and my meager offering, even if others do not understand or approve.

I credit my Greek heritage and the Discovery Channel for my passion for travel and my compassion for people.

As a Jesus-freak growing up in Columbia, Missouri, I participated in youth group activities like bowling and service trips and Bible training, all the while trying to spread the spirit of peace and love.

Then God increased my territory and gave me a global perspective!  He has blessed me with the opportunities and resources to have visited more than 20 countries already.  I have built houses in the Philippines with Habitat for Humanity, played with orphans in Thailand, volunteered in a village school in Tanzania with Cross-Cultural Solutions, and simply explored places as a tourist.

Everywhere I am, everywhere I go, I am astounded by the beauty and diversity of God’s creation as well as the universal desperate need for His grace.

For the past five years, I have been working at an international Christian school in Seoul, Korea.  In addition to teaching French and Humanities, I lead discipleship groups and youth retreats.  It is very fulfilling to incorporate spirituality into work, and I delight in the students, but life has started to become too comfortable, and I wonder honestly where I am finding my security.

More than just being adventurous, I desire to surrender my life to the Lord with reckless abandon and to have the courage to dream big!  My hope is that the gospel would be proclaimed such that all could hear.  My strength comes from knowing that God is able – and eager – to do even more than I could ask or imagine.

Ready to be boulversé?!  I welcome you to share this World Race experience with me!  May we be blessed on the journey …
