I met some incredible people this past week in Georgia at Ignition Training Camp, and
it is an honor and a pleasure to present some of them to you now.
(Click on the names to go to the blogs.)
Camp was directed and facilitated by AIM staff and previous World Racers.
It was cool to meet these people whose blogs I have been reading –
they are both famous and my friends, you know?!
Our fearless squad leader is Allison Johnston,
who just finished her own year on the World Race a few months ago.
And our fascinating squad coaches are Gary Black and Lisa Black.
They recently moved to Colorado after several years of ministry in Swaziland.
They are eager to guide and empower us with the Holy Spirit.
Here are a few random bits of information to tease you (you will want to get to know these people!):
Jessica served in Iraq. Dan knits caps for cancer patients. Laura is deeply compassionate. Kyla is a dancer. Braedon does a wicked Mr. Roboto. Carly is a sincere encourager. Ian leads yoga. Jacob gets the Holy Spirit munchies. Lindsay won big on The Price is Right. Marisa receives visions. Summer and Lindsey can quote any Will Ferrel movie. …!
We come from all different ages (21-34), walks of life, and faith traditions, but
we are united in our purpose.
Each team (of the squad) chose a name, and
each name captures the essence of who we are and our vision for the year.

Aletheia is a Greek work meaning TRUTH – or literally “not hidden” –
and that is our vision for the year.
We have agreed to be honest and vulnerable with each other.
We are also committed to taking the Truth of the Gospel to the nations this year.
“We have renounced secret and shameful ways;
we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God.
On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly,
we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.”
– 2 Corinthians 4:2
