This morning during our team devotions, we were doing an exercise from AIM director Seth Barnes‘ book The Art of Listening Prayer

We were each to spend time listening for the Lord’s response to these three questions:

1. How have you spoken to me in the past?

2. How have I limited the ways in which you desire to speak?

3. What can I do to better hear your voice?

I had planned to have at least 30 minutes for this activity, but the concept of time is a bit different in India, so I was soon interrupted by a phone call announcing that our transportation was on the way.

In an effort to have at least some sort of connection with God this morning, I flipped my Bible open to read a Psalm.  The Lord directed me to Psalm 81.  Check out verse 13:

“Oh that my people would listen to me!”

God is so good!  He completely understands our needs, and He has a great sense of humor and timing!
